I was born and raised in Ōtūrei, where my three sisters and I attended Te Kopuru School. It brings me much joy that my own children now get to experience this school as well.
I am currently in the fourth and final year of my Social Work degree, with a particular passion for approaches that support the holistic wellbeing of tamariki and whānau. After living in Australia for nearly a decade, my husband and I returned home to our whānau farm in Ōtūrei with our two tamariki. Most of our spare time is spent out at our beautiful West Coast whether we are fishing, catching up with friends or whānau, running our dog, Honey, or just simply being together. We are all so blessed to have this right on our doorstep.
I have served as a parent representative on the Te Kopuru School Board for almost two years and I genuinely believe our little school holds something special. With engaged whānau and creative collaboration toward our shared vision, the potential for our tamariki to thrive is unlimited.
