We warmly welcome all new entrants to join us for pre-school visits before they officially start at Te Kopuru School. These visits help your child feel comfortable and confident as they begin their exciting school journey. After an individualised transition to school plan we will have cohort entry at the start of each term and week 6 of each term.
If you have a pre-schooler, please get in touch with us to arrange visits and receive an Information Package. We look forward to working closely with you and your child to make their start at school as enjoyable as possible.
Important: Please bring your child’s Birth Certificate and Immunisation Certificate on the day of enrolment, as required by the Ministry of Education.
Here’s an outline of a pre-school visit schedule (but can vary according to student needs):
6 Weeks | Invitation Call | New Entrant Teacher will make contact to organise visit days/times | Meet with the Principal and receive the Information Pack.
For 3 Weeks | 8:30am – 10:00am | Parents stay with their child.
For 2 Weeks | 8:30am – 12:30pm | Parents' presence is optional, but you must be reachable during the visit.
For 1 Week | 8:30am – 2:45pm | Parents' presence is optional, but you must be easily contactable.
Depending when your individualised transition to school plan your child will start school either at the start of the term, or in week 6 of each term.
