Netball
Southern Rugby Sports Club supports our netball players each year. A special thanks of our parents who coach and manage the teams. Netball is played at Dargaville Intermediate and Dargaville High School depending on their Year Group- they plays against Interschool Teams. Students aged 7 years and older ares able to play.
Body Jam
Te Kopuru School participates in the Kaipara District Interschool Body Jam Competition held at Dargaville Town Hall, usually sometime in August; students can compete individually or in teams.
TKleles Ukulele Club
Our TKleles Ukulele Club are part of The New Zealand KIWILELES massed youth ukulele orchestra which was established in 2007 and are a run-away success! The number registered for the NZUT KIWILELES programme has now reached 3,000+
Te Kopuru School participates at this festival every year, the festival is in Auckland and it's usually in November-December.
Our TKleles Club meet every Wednesday afternoon at 3pm to 4pm. We have parents and Teachers participating and learning ukulele along with the students.
Kapa Haka
Our Roopu Kapa Haka consists of a Roopu Teina and Roopu Tuakana. We have a proud Roopu Kapa Haka who are regularly invited to perform at many wider community events. To tautoko / support Powhiri at our Local Marae for vistors and Tangi.
School Choir
Through parent support, our school choir club practises term 3&4.They are always well supported at our Performing Arts Festival in December.
WELLINGTON TOUR
Every two years our Year 7 and Year 8 fly to windy Wellington for a week of fun and learning...they visit Parliament, Museum of Wellington, Te Papa, Capital E, view a Pantomime, rock climb and many other great things.
2018. This year our Yr7,8 will be off again.
